Wrapping a trailer full of hidden traps

Hey all, I'm new around here but not new to "paying the price". Just took on wrapping my father-in-law's boat trailer and I'm already eyeing those flat-topped rivets like they owe me money.
Last wrap he had looked good until every rivet started splitting the vinyl wide open. I found this place while trying to dodge the same fate and figured I'd toss my name in the ring.

Thanks for the welcome! It's a bit of a strange project but the old man wants it to match his truck.
